Set right at the shore of Lake Constance, this maritime-style 4-star hotel in Horn dates from 1827. Next to the lake, love the sauna and pool facility, dining next to the lake with friendly proactive staff was great.

Set in a historic building that was completely renovated in 2015, Hotel Krone Speicher is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Speicher in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. St. Everything was excellent - the room, restaurant, service itself. We booked in the very last minute before our stay, but it was our best place where we stayed in the Switzerland. Highly recomended.

Loved this apartment -- so quaint and in the old city of St Gallen. Steps away from restaurants, church, and plenty of shopping. Had a great little kitchen, a round dinner nook and wood beams everywhere. Great atmosphere, clean, and comfortable.

The Hotel Eastside in Sankt Gallen is 3 km from the train station and offers free WiFi, and free private garage parking. Styled modern furniture, comfortable bed, spacy room. Great value/price rate for this country. 15 min by car to the lake Bodensee with nice coffee. You could buy cherry or other fruits / vegetables on your way to the lake directly from the garden owners.

The stylish Hotel Metropol is located in the centre of the city, opposite the St. Gallen Main Train Station. It offers elegant rooms, gourmet cuisine and free WiFi. The hotel is literally in front of the station. Location doesn't get any better than this. I traveled for work so for that kind of trip it was perfect.
