She is a wonderful person and a great cook: I had a delicious breakfast, and for dinner: the best cachupa and another time a traditional dish from São Nicolau called modje (caldo de carne de cabrito e legumes). She is very interesting, has great stories to tell if you ask, has great recommendations of stuff to do, knows the trekkings as she use to do them when she was younger and her knees were not giving her trouble. Dona Netinha is adorable! She is also discrete, she leaves you alone if you don't want to talk. I just asked alot of questions. Bela Sombra is a really nice place to stay, spotless clean, the bed is confortable, has hot water and great wi-fi connection, the staff is friendly and the location great. I strongly recommend

The owner Gabriel and his staff was exceptionally helpfull. The hotel is very quiet, close to the center and beach. The breakfast was more then enough. The room was cleaned regularly. Tarrafal is a good place to discover the island. I would stay here an other time, too.
