Providing free on-site car parking in Bath, Bathen House provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Built in 1910, the property is within 2 km of Royal Crescent and 2.2 km of The Circus Bath. The hotel was exceptional. Room was large with a beautiful bathroom with rain shower head. Additionally there was a large claw bathtub too. The staff was helpful and courteous.

Opened in December 2016, No.15 Great Pulteney is situated just a 3-minute stroll from Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. Such a unique and beautiful hotel with lovely staff! The décor is simply breathtaking, and it's very clear that they thought through every little detail - from the Pantry with complimentary snacks to the record player in the room (and there's a library of records downstairs). The room was warm and cozy, very clean and had everything we needed. Specifically the shower was incredible, even the toiletries were of great quality. It's an easy 10 minutes walk from the city centre, and on the way there are plenty of cafés and restaurants. We only wish we had more time there, and we wish we got a chance to check the bar. We also regret not trying their breakfast. Definitely recommend and we'll check their hotels in Brighton and York.

Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination. Cherry the receptionist, who was endlessly cheerful and helpful and even carried our cases up to our bedroom. The spa is lovely, though the sauna could be a bit hotter. The breakfast is just amazing. And far too much for a mere mortal. I really wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel is very friendly and beautifully decorated. It is an unusual boutique hotel and the rooms are stunning, as are the reception room and bar.

• The family-run Cameley Lodge - Self Catering offers quality, private self catering accommodation, and is set in beautiful countryside looking over a picturesque valley. Hotel was lovely and quiet food was really great but the hosts were just lovely and really helpful

Located in Bath, up Lansdown Hill, less than 1 km from Royal Crescent, Lansdown Grove Hotel provides accommodation with a restaurant, private parking, a bar and a garden. Excellent hotel, seeped in history, centrally located with all of Bath’s attractions walking distance away. Bar and restaurant on site, good to unwind after a long drive to Bath or have a hearty breakfast before heading out for the day. Friendly staff, specially Rohit and Prasad.

Located in Bath, 4.5 km from The Circus Bath, Charlcombe Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Great choice at breakfast the staff were very accommodating. Had our evening meal in the Inn Which was excellent. Very good position for the park and ride meaning we could go into Bath effortlessly
