The facilities are a bit old but this is actually a good thing. The place had an aura of my childhood family holidays in Argolida and we were extremely happy to have our son share a similar experience. There is a lot of love and personal time invested in this place, a family business for generations and we really loved to be part of it.

Malvasia Traditional Hotel ligger flott til, 300 meter fra porten til Monemvasia-borgen. Hotellet består av steinbygninger, de fleste av dem med sjøutsikt. Probably the best and more beautiful location in Monemvasia. We got the cheapest room in the hotel, but it was cozy, clean and the bed was comfortable. The weather wasn´t the best but the access to a small balcony was really nice. Good breakfast too.

We really enjoyed our night stay out of high season. The whole feel of the place was peaceful, the perfect place to relax. Communication with Rena before and during our stay was great. The apartments are modern and exceptionally clean; we had a very comfortable stay. The best part was enjoying a drink in the evening sitting on the terrace in the restaurant below watching the stunning sunset.

The hotel is located right at the sea shore, there's literally 40cm between its walls and water. From the balcony there's a picturesque view over the Argolic Gulf and nearby islands. One can swim right in front of the hotel, or walk around 200m for a classic sandy beach. Room was basic, but everything was clean, also the towels were changed daily. Breakfast was a bit simple, but it wasn't bad or poor either. There's no private parking, but it's always possible to park along the street in front of the hotel. Hotel owners are friendly and hospital, even provided me special beach towel without being specifically asked for it.
