Tortugal Boutique River Lodge er staðsett í ánni Rio Dulce, nálægt kastala frá 16. öld og er baðað í næstum stöðugri andvara frá ströndinni en þar er boðið upp á svalandi og hressandi stað. Within five minutes of placing a call we were whisked off to this charming riverside location. Our pleasant host, welcomed us and showed us to our well appointed room. Special thanks to Angie who was really helpful. The breakfast was first class as was the service. I just wish we had the time to stay longer.

El Hotelito Perdido er lítið frumskógar athvarf staðsett miðsvæðis í Rio Dulce-þjóðgarðinum. A unique jungle experience! Beautiful setting, very helpful and friendly staff and owners and pretty and clean cabañas....and tasty food! Make no mistake, you're in the rainforest. So, you hear birds and animals and have to travel by boat or canoe. Highly recomendable.

Hotel Posada Stella Maris er staðsett í Puerto Barrios og býður upp á 5 stjörnu gistirými með garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Gististaðurinn býður upp á alhliða móttökuþjónustu og barnaleikvöll. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar er staðsett í Izabal, 45 km frá Castillo de San Felipe de Lara og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Lívingston. Lovely boutique hotel. Loved the unique style of accommodation. Very friendly staff. Probably best value for money so far on the trip.

Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, veitingastað og bar í Rio Dulce. I wish I could stay longer

Hotel La Casa Rosada er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Lívingston. Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er herbergisþjónusta og upplýsingaborð ferðaþjónustu, auk ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. I loved the cozy and comfortable loft. The view of the loft was awesome and I loved the breeze of the ocean in the open loft. The stuff was super helpful with informations about Livingston and what I can explore. The Topada and the cappuccino in the restaurant was simply amazing.

Hotel El Reformador er staðsett í Puerto Barrios og býður upp á garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar. Þetta 4 stjörnu hótel býður upp á ókeypis WiFi, herbergisþjónustu og sólarhringsmóttöku. Staff was super friendly. Incuded breakfast was very good. Great shower with good water pressure.
