As a solo female traveller (who doesn’t drive/ scooter) I wanted somewhere in a good location, that was safe. Pondooks Joglo was certainly that! Wayan was also accommodating in giving me lifts and making sure breakfast was prepared early for when I had full scuba diving days. The facilities and grounds are immaculate and a I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in NL. Thank you so much !!!

This is the moat gorgeous location! You have 2 infinity pools looking over the ocean. There are tons of places to get sun or tuck under the shade. The staff goes above and beyond. the location is super nice , next to the jump rock and you can see surfers all day long as wel a wonderful nice beach . The huts face the water ( part of them ). As well you have an amazing swimming pool also facing the water . as Well the staff / and especially the manager in super helpful . I wanted to go diving in the early morning and they arrange that I can have a breakfast before the opening hours . Definitely come Back.

The staff was amazing, the food was great and the bungalows were so cosy and nice. But the best thing was the amazing location and view! The first thing we saw when we arrived was turtles swimming by the hotel! Our last day we could even see a mantaray swimming by while we ate breakfast! We rented a scooter, so we could get around, would recommend that.

La Roja was an absolute gem we found while checking out places to stay during our one day trip to Nusa Penida. The hotel manager was very friendly and ensured we were comfortable and relaxed at the place. He suggested us the restaurants we should check out as the hotel restaurant was only serving breakfast at the time (an added bonus - he even offered to go and pick our food if we preferred to stay in; so very kind of him). The room was spacious and clean with all amenities included, perfect for two peoples stay. The pool outside was beautiful, with greenery all around. Highly recommended to visit this place as its more beautiful in person than photos!
