Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. The ambiance was delightful. The architecture and the cleanliness were key.

Location was great, room was excellent with lovely products. it was very clean. The staff were lovely.

The staff exceeded my expectations, always a smile, allowed us to stay in the dining room after closing as we met family. They served us in the living rooms/parlors. Food and bar service was excellent. reception assisted us with cab service and alerted us when the cabs arrived. We were delighted to learn our room was ready upon our arrival at 2 pm, especially since we had a family reunion to attend 30 miles away. The shower / tub had safety/ grip bars. towels were plentiful. Excellent hotel.

Boasting free bikes and a garden, Corriebeg Cottage provides accommodation in an isolated countryside area, 10 km outside of Boris, with free WiFi and mountain views. Corriebeg cottage is a beautiful country cottage with roses, sweet pea and daisies. It even has nesting housemartins. The host, Jane, is delightful and a fund of knowledge. Everything was clean and comfortable, breakfast brought at our chosen time.
