Featuring a garden and views of garden, Glebe House is a country house situated in a historic building in Taghshinny, 27 km from Athlone Institute of Technology. This was a perfect spot to stop, right in the center of the countryside. The location was easy to find. It’s very peaceful, with friendly people and pets (including dogs, cats and horses). The rooms were spacious with en suite, air conditioning and a tv. The breakfast was delicious with more than enough to fill even the hungriest teenage boys. We’ve told all of our friends to stay here on their visit. The local Inn, just a short distance away, has a fantastic pub where we had one of the best dinners of our entire trip. I only wish we hadn’t been just passing-through because the local walks/hikes sounded amazing.

Offering a garden and garden view, Longford Holiday Red Rose Self Catering Cottage is located in Longford, 38 km from Leitrim Design House and 39 km from Roscommon Museum. Surprisingly spacious cottage with modern comforts yet still retaining its old world charm. It was perfect for our work trip. The property is set over two floors with a large kitchen, sitting room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one in the ensuite) and a separate toilet. It has excellent heating, electric showers and most importantly comfortable beds. The welcome hamper left for us was a very nice touch. Would highly recommend for work trip or leisurely countryside getaway.
