Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Superb location, beautiful rooms and the most fabulous staff !!! The meals were fantastic as was the service. Such a peaceful stay.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. The hotel is family owned and very pleasant. We really enjoyed the local flavor for breakfast. There was a nice variety with veggies, eggs, and homemade goodies - bread, pastries, and jam. They offered fish and meats too. Free coffee and tea all day! We had vegan burgers for dinner that were very filling and tasty. We found the room to be spacious and very clean. There was only soap available in the room. The staff was great, so nice and responsive before arriving. There was a cute gift shop too. I liked all the animals on display. Fantastic location to visit Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon, it's only 25 minutes and worth the drive especially for the value.

The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. Perfect location (by the road, close to a gas station and mini-grocery store, and lovely hiking trails), spacious room, very good breakfast. The mountains served as a lovely backdrop.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. The hotel has a great view over the Vatnajokull mountains. It was comfortable and clean. Good breakfast.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Lovely hotel for when you are driving round Iceland. Staff are exceptional from reception to barman to restaurant staff. Friendly, open warm and generous. Staff really make a property and the staff here were no exception. Worth staying if you need a clean well appointed good value for money stay
