Boasting a fitness centre and a bar, Portom International Hokkaido is situated in Chitose, 100 metres from New Chitose Airport Onsen and 15 km from Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium. I visited Portom close to the airport to have a relaxing day before returning home, and I could feel that a lot of attention was paid to customer service from the moment I checked in. I am very grateful to Ms. Kim for her kindness in explaining the unique hotel interior and facilities that are not found in other hotels and guiding us to the front of the room. Also, I contacted the desk for first aid kit at night, and they prepared it without any delay. The hot spring facilities that we were able to use throughout the evening were excellent. The breakfast was very thorough and there was a lot consideration for customers. Overall, it is more expensive than other hotels, but it is well worth the experience.

I had a great time visiting Sapporo.
I had a great time visiting Sapporo. The city centre is compact, allowing you to walk to most tourist destinations. On a cold winter's day you can use the subway or the underground walkway to go around the city. There are many things to enjoy no matter what your interest is. If you like shopping, there are several department stores near the station, and the Sapporo Factory mall is large enough to keep you entertained for an entire day. If you like Japanese culture, you can visit the Hokkaido shrine, or explore the Hokkaido museum. The Shiroi Koibito park and Sapporo beer factory are also fun, although foreign visitors unfamiliar with these brands may not be that interested. Also keep an eye out for events, such as the Christmas illuminations, the famous snow festival, or the beer garden in summer. Hokkaido is famous for having great food, and there are so many dishes to try! You can visit the Ramen Republic near the JR station to try all kinds of ramen from around Hokkaido. Alternatively, you can go to Susukino to find many restaurants serving local specialities such as soup curry and "Genghis Khan" (lamb barbecue). Hokkaido seafood is very famous too, and you can find many restaurants serving fresh seafood, or get some sushi at the Nijo fishmarket. Whether it's summer or winter, there are many things to enjoy in this wonderful city! I can't wait to visit Sapporo again.
