We ate our breakfast at the washitsu, drank the free beer in the living room and had a relaxing bath. We also used the private onsen and sauna. The inn booked us a reservation at a nearby restaurant. You can keep your luggage at the reception area or sent nearby the station as you continue to explore the town. Great location, restaurants, shops, convenient stores are just a walk away.

We came on a very rainy day, so we were a little tired and wet getting there. However, the staff provided us a nice overview of the property with a warm cheerful greeting. They had umbrellas for us to use. I loved all the tourist information in the lobby. We do not speak Japaneses well, but they were very helpful. I felt the modern aesthetics were nice and it was very clean to me. One thing that caught my attention was the toothbrushes they provided were a nice design to hold. This is a funny comment, but I've stayed at many upscale hotels and this little detail was a real delight!

Hajime, the owner, was super helpful and kind. We ordered dinner and breakfast and it was delicious. The guesthouse is a traditional, rustic, old-style Japanese house and it was exactly what I was looking for. The view from the room was absolutely gorgeous! I was on foot and walked from the station to the guesthouse- about 30 mins. There are a couple of places to eat nearby, by foot or bus - all delicious! I spent a couple of days walking in the mountains nearby. It was an amazing experience- very rustic, but that was exactly the type of place I was looking for. Thank you Hajime!
