The Fort House

Well situated in Galle, The Fort House offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This is a new hotel. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated and the hotel is centrally located, which makes getting around quite easy. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to accommodate requests and help out in exceptional circumstances. I’m forever grateful for the kindness of the entire Fort House team, particularly Sabrin. I’d definitely recommend booking in here and will be sure to stay here on any return visits to Galle.

Room and the bathroom was very clean and very comfortable. It had all the amenities which has any star rated hotel would have. Spacious and cozy. Bathroom had a bathtub with a jacuzzi facility. Samodaya, the care taker cum manager took care of all the needs we wanted without a trouble. Breakfast was really good. More than what we expected. We met the owners as well. Very humble and polite. Very reasonable with the price as well. Overall, very good place to stay, work, or leisure. Highly recommend place.

Green Escape Unawatuna has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Unawatuna. It’s a good place to relax and chill. In the hotel, there are rabbits and it is especially cute how you can feed them. There also different animals like lizards and monkeys. In this hotel there is also a big pool, plenty of nature and delicious food and kind service. In every room there is an air conditioner and fan to keep comfortable temperature. Overall it is a great place to rest! If you want to go swim you have to walk or you can go by tuk tuk 🛺. The beach is clean and the water is warm, plus you can sometimes see turtles and crabs.

The cosy and comfortable atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment, and the hotel's central location made it convenient to explore the fort and nearby beach. I can't express enough how satisfied I was with my stay. Thank you, Merchant Hotel, for creating the best memory of my Sri Lankan trip. Highly recommended!
