Every now and then you stay in accommodation that makes you wish you were able to live in permanently, and consider redecorating your own house. This is one of those places. The owners have exquisite taste in terms of decor, and at the same time have created a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Small details (you can try their impressive tea collection and enjoy the equally impressive record and CD collection) make this so much more than just another hotel/apartment. The staff in the cafe downstairs are very friendly, and for a drink and something light to eat I would not bother going anywhere else. Vianden is a lovely town to walk around, visit the castle or do a bit of hiking.

Youth Hostel ligger i ett traditionellt hus och erbjuder sovsalar med delat badrum och gratis Wi-Fi. Hotellet ligger i byns centrum, mindre än 200 meter från Vianden slott. It was nice clean hostel. Although the check in till 22:00, I came around 23:00 and I called the receptionist and he drop the key for me in the hostel, it was nice idea. The hostel was clean, the breakfast was good

The Vianden Cottage - Charming Cottage in the Forest ligger i Vianden i Mersch och har en balkong. The location of the cottage is beautiful. On the hill overlooking Vianden only a 15 minute walk from the city center (a walk which initially looks more steep and challenging then it actually is) The cottage is very well equipped and was very clean. Although the location is slightly remote, it was very easy to find. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. If you want to go and explore Vianden and it's surroundings for a few days, We would definitely recommend staying at the Vianden cottage.
