Exceptional stay at this hotel made our holidays feel like a dream. Super comfy beds, amazing breakfast and free sauna was a cherry on top. 100% recommended. We could even borrow spikes on the reception as we forgot to bring our own. Top stay.

Set in Kvaløya and only 12 km from University of Tromsø, Steam Pier offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Apartment was perfect. Easy to get to from the airport. We rented a car and had ample space for parking. It was equally easy to get to by public transport as there is a bus stop out the front. Access to the apartment was super easy as the door just needed a code. The size of the apartment was great. We had separate space for sleeping, sitting and eating. The bed was super comfy. It was high (no issues), we would have loved having a bedside table or shelf. There were so many powerpoints! The kitchen was compact, but had all we needed. The bathroom was amazing. Shower hot and we appreciated the heated floor and mood lighting. The apartment was tastefully decorated - everything matched. We had no issues with the temperature inside - it was perfect. We never heard anything from the other apartments. We loved the aspect. It was very peaceful looking out on the water and we were entertained by a seal and deer during our stay. We could also watch the planes taking off and landing! We were pleasantly surprised to see the northern lights in the direction of Tromso! There was also a large shop just down the road that stocked absolutely everything! They are open late everyday, except closed on Sundays. We were impressed to see the driveway and car park were kept clear from snow.

We truly enjoy the time there, and hard to say goodbye to everything here.

Dal balcone di casa abbiamo visto l’aurora boreale quasi tutte le sere. Lungo la strada che porta a Tromsø si incontrano quotidianamente le renne che pascolano liberamente. La casa è calda, c’è anche il camino. Lo abbiamo usato solo per creare atmosfera perché il riscaldamento elettrico era più che sufficiente. I proprietari sono giovani e molto accoglienti. Dietro alla casa parte un sentiero che percorre il bosco fino ad una piccola struttura in legno immersa nel nulla dove potersi accampare per guardare l’aurora. Si raggiunge in mezz’ora di cammino. In casa potete trovare le torce. Esperienza fantastica.
