We loved absolutely everything about this gem of a property: the location in a stunning natural environment, the adorable staff, the unique history and decor of the hotel full of collectible and heirloom furniture and, of course the wonderful dinner. Food certainly was a highlight as this is generally where Norway fails to impress us. We were served a fresh, creative, and delicious dinner in the beautiful dining room overlooking the fjell. The chef even adjusted the menu for the vegetarians among us, creating genuine new dishes for us. Wow! Again, that was unexpected as eating veg in Norway is often a challenge. Everything felt authentic and personal in this independently-run property. Dinner starts with a presentation of the history of the place by the owner, their struggles during Covid and how they overcame them. Charmingly, this introduction included the reading of a poem (sadly we don’t understand Norwegian so had to rely on the translation of the presentation afterwards). Every effort is made to be sustainable : There’s a vegetable garden, the delicious bread is baked on the premisses (we took a box of the amazing Flatbrød with us) and the lovely shop sells some local cheese, honey and other specialties including, this being Norway, sweets :) We are already dreaming of a next stay to the Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to experience more of its magic and of the stunning nature around it as our stay this time was way too short. Note to the owners: stay as you are, you are a genuine gem and the world needs more places like yours. Thank you for everything!

Loved the staff and the food very much! Tommy was an excellent front reception Host! He was so good at his job and made us feel so welcome and appreciated. 💙

Fantastic location, overlooking the harbor. Very modern interior. Picked up a delicious breakfast tray in the lobby. Very comfortable bed.

Este hotel está situado en el lago Vågslidvatn, a 4 km de la estación de esquí de Haukelifjell. Ofrece conexión de wifi gratis y alojamiento con vistas panorámicas. El entorno, las vistas, todo fue perfecto. El restaurante muy recomendable también. El desayuno muy completo y el sitio muy cómodo.

El Dalen Hotel, construido originalmente en 1894, está situado cerca de las tranquilas orillas del canal de Telemark y del lago Bandak. All the staff from front desk to restaurant were exceptional. Special praise for Joao and Lorenzo . We learned so much about wine and cocktails from them.

Situated by the town hall in Skien city centre, Thon Hotel Høyers offers free WiFi and private parking is possible. It was warm welcoming environment with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and very comfortable rooms

El Gausta View Lodge se encuentra en Gaustablikk, a 3,4 km de Gaustatoppen, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, estacionamiento privado gratuito, terraza y restaurante. Lovely place to stay for ski in ski out, nice breakfast across the street, will defiantly stay there again. friendly and helpful staff.
