Located in Manakau, Manakau House The Old Manakau Hotel 1920 features a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. You can't judge a book by its cover! The inside of this historic hotel was charming, comfortable and quiet. The host gave my friend and me private rooms even though we booked a shared room because we were to get only guests in the hotel. She was very kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend - especially if you like historic buildings.

A hidden jem in the center of palmy north. The owner was a gentleman. Best value for money to be found. Very comfortable room. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Indoor pool was amazing - heated to about 38 degrees Celsius. All the walls & ceilings of hotel were wooden, such a special feel, just like we were in a ski chalet. Hotel had a bar and restaurant on site, which was great.
