We booked the villa for 6 persons with 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was luxury. The villa was super clean. Our room was made daily. The staff even mops the floors outside daily! The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and blankets were of high quality. Breakfast was also really delicious and well balanced. There is a water filtration which also saved us from buying bottled waters. The staff were so genuine and helpful! Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. Very affordable villa for all it offers!

Fantastic location, easy to access, amazing views of Huascaran Park just behind the town! Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly (even brought us up hot tea to our room about half an hour after we checked in 🥰), breakfast was made fresh for us, and we were even made some Muna tea (helps with altitude) when we mentioned my husband was having some gut issues! Would absolutely stay here again!!

Secure parking behind a locked gate for motorcycles and cars and a great place to base yourself to do the full days ride through the Huascaran Park and return to a home cooked meal and craft beer! The hosts are amazing! So kind and friendly. The location is on the edge of Caraz so quiet and the hotel is set in a beautiful working vegetable garden, with views up to the mountain. Beds were so comfy with real cotton thick crisp sheets and soft pillows …it is the best sleep we have had for the past 6 months. Warm showers and lovely soap/shampoo. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we ate in the on-site restaurant which was “paddock to plate” dishes using veggies and fruit from the garden and locally sourced meats/produce… it was so good to eat healthy!

The room was cozy, with a notably comfortable bed. While Huaraz can have its water and electricity challenges everything runs seamlessly at the hotel, there were enough electrical plugs in the room and there was always hot water in the shower. What truly set this hotel apart for me, though, was the staff. Every individual I interacted with was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. A special mention to the owner – his passion for the place shines through, and his warmth and welcoming nature made my stay all the more memorable. An oasis of calm and hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel.

Located at Callejón de Huaylas, close to Huascaran National Park, Hotel El Abuelo offers accommodation in Carhuaz. The hotel was on our way back from a hike and conveniently located. It was really quiet as we were almost the only one there at the time. The Staff and owner were really sympathetic and helpful. Rooms are simple but clean
