Maitai Rangiroa is located between the villages of Avatoru and Tiputa, on one of the largest lagoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Excellent hotel with an equally excellent restaurant on-site. I also spent a lot of times at my friends hotel, the Kia Ora, and we both agreed that the Maitai was nicer at half the price.

Situated in Avatoru, Te Mao has a garden, terrace, water sports facilities, and free WiFi. Each room is equipped with a balcony. I like the sea view, the quiet time to relax and snorkle. The possibilities to rent a bike and the owner being so nice driving me around to grocery store and airport.

Featuring garden views, Chez Taia et Véro in Tiputa offers accommodation with free use of kayaks and bikes, barbecue facilities and a garden. Complimentary WiFi is provided. The accommodation was perfect, very spacious, 2 bedrooms, an organised kitchen, living room, big terrace and the family who runs the place is great (especially Taia is always there for you with a smile when you need him). It's just 60-70 meters away from a small beach and the 3 wonderful dogs, especially Zenique.

Situated in Avatoru in the Rangiroa region, Poe Guesthouse features a terrace and inner courtyard views. This guest house features free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Hinano is a fantastic host. she is extremely friendly and has the best service. She showed us around and let’s us in on some traditional cooking (poison cru), opening coconuts, et cetera.

Chez Guy, vue sur l'océan is situated in Tiputa and offers free bikes and a garden. The property has inner courtyard views. We expected our stay in Tiputa to be slightly off the beaten path - and it was, for the best of it! The property is at the "remote" end of the village, on the ocean shore - enjoy the noise of breakers during the night! First floor, nice view. No light pollution - enjoy the view of the Milky Way at night. Beyond the beauty of Rangiroa (expected), we were warmly welcome by the owner's family, who did everything to make us feel at home. Bread, butter, jam were offered for breakfast, and the "restaurant" they recommended was... the neighbor's yard, with 4 tables and a "beware of the dog" sign on the porch. The dog is nice and well-behaved, the cook very friendly and focused on healthy local dishes with fresh (garden-plucked) ingredients, which were outstanding (and more than decently priced)! Thank you for everything, this was a highlight of our vacation in Tahiti.

Located in Avatoru in the Rangiroa region, Rangiroa Guest Paradise has a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Very peaceful and quiet. Great location. The host and their family were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful people. We would definitely recommend staying there. They also offer excursions. Rangiroa Cottage is situated in Avatoru and offers a garden, a bar and barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Beautiful, quiet spot not far from Avatoru village. Easy bike ride (provided by host) to good restaurants - Chez Rua, Antoinette and a pizza wagon. Super lovable dog and cat, Kahlua and Meme (see pics) on property. Tauhere has done an amazing job on the space and the grounds.

Located in Avatoru, Rangi Pearl Lodge features free bikes, a garden and barbecue facilities. This holiday home provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Fantastic property, very new and clean. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s such a small island so everything is close. I highly recommended the pizza just down the road or fish and chips and chez rua! Airport pickup is an absolute dream.

Located in Tiputa in the Rangiroa region, Moana Breeze Eco Lodge features a patio. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Moana Breeze was the perfect place to end our honeymoon. Marco and Enrica (and their friendly dog Iggy) were absolutely wonderful hosts. They are warm, accommodating, and incredibly interesting and accomplished people, with tons of information and stories to share. They are also incredible cooks, and made us the two best meals we had on our whole trip :) The property is also lovely, with lots of thoughtful environmental touches, a well stocked kitchen, access to bikes, and a fresh-baked baguette every morning. We would highly highly recommend staying here!! The only note is that since the Moana Breeze is on Tiputa, you will need to arrange water/land taxis in order to do activities on Rangiroa - but Marco and Enrica are always happy to help arrange those for you, and Tiputa is gorgeous and charming and very worth the extra effort :)
