Although the room wasn’t huge the balcony was, which made storing our suitcases easy as the weather was fine. The swimming pool looked very inviting. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and for the included breakfast. There is also a comfortable guest lounge.

Beautifully designed hotel located in the picturesque surroundings. We really enjoyed spa, sauna and massage were great. Dinner was delicious. We could not enjoy our stay more and we hope to come back

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. Very nice place. Good sized room. Privatized pool/spa for 30min per day. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Casa das Penhas Dourades is a beautiful property in a gorgeous mountainous setting. The food for breakfast and in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff was helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The surrounding area was wonderful for sightseeing and hiking. I would definitely recommend this property.

Located in Lajeosa do Mondego, municipality of Celorico da Beira – the Serra Cheese capital – Casas do Durão-Memories House is set at the base of the Estrela Ridge and offers a tranquil stay. Wunderfully decorated and clean house. The hosts were really welcoming and gave us a tour through their house of memories, that we will remember. Breakfast was a dream!

L'Hotel da Vila està situat a Manteigas, a 500 m de les aigües termals de Manteigas. Ofereix habitacions amb vistes al riu i WiFi gratuïta. This hotel is one which has been recently built or renovated next door to a restaurant and the tourist information centre on the way into the centre on a split level site. Our room was located downstairs from the main entrance and was located away from the main road with a view of the valley. There was free parking adjacent to the property. Breakfast was a good continental buffet which included a number of local cheeses, server three floors down in a room with a view of the lower valley. There was a selection of restaurants at various price points within a short distance of the hotel in addition to the more up market one next door (we tried The central for cheaper local food). The tourist information centre next door is worth a visit to get free walking route maps (using the European coloured flash way markers) in various languages distributed by a very helpful gentleman. There are a couple of supermarkets and bakery for picnic food.

Peaceful and beautiful place. Ricardo is the best!!! He’s kind and thoughtful person. We really liked the dinners there.
