The Hail province has a lot of history from early civilizations to sites from the creation of modern Saudi Arabia. One of the biggest challenges is that the main tourist sites are normally closed even during the advertised opening hours. For example, the restored Aarif fort's visitor centre was closed. This means toilets were not open. The fort itself was open though, or more accurately, not closed. Food is mainly traditional Arabic, Turkish and Indian Sub-continent restaurants. Other International restaurants would be mainly in shopping malls. As a relatively small city, Hail is easy to navigate. During the weekend though, some of the roads in the city do get busy as can be expected.
