Set in Khon Kaen, 4.5 km from Central Plaza Khon Kaen, The Cotton Tree Hometel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Check-in was smooth and the receptionist spoke basic English. The room has all the usual basic amenities: 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 bottles of shower gal, 2 bottles of shampoo, cotton buds, shower cap, 5-6 hangers, hair dryer, 2 bedroom slippers, mini fridge, kettle and 2 cups. 4 comfortable pillows and clean sheets. Perfect for my 1-night stay. The air-conditioning was strong and cooled the room fast (but you can turn up the temperature or switch to fan mode if you are afraid of the cold). WiFi in the room was stable and fast. The neighbourhood was quiet for the night I stayed and I had a good rest. There is a security guard at the entrance who is actively doing his work, checking on cars that stopped at the entrance and greeting us when we returned to the hotel past midnight (in short, I felt safe!) There was a male receptionist at the front desk at night too. There is a well stocked 7-11 just across the street. I'll be returning if I were to visit Khon Kaen again!

The hotel is on a quiet sidestreet, not central, but with enough stores, restaurants, laundries for my needs. Bathroom is new, hot water is good, beds and pillows are comfortable, lighting is OK, there are enough plugs.
