It is a new hotel, but the best one that we went to in tanzania. The staff is lovely and helped us out werever they could. Would definitly go back if we are at mafia island in the future.

This is a great place to stay if you are planning to dive in Mafia for a view days. The two cosy new bungalows are part of the family run dive center. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is yummy and you can also have the option for dinner. I enjoyed the big pool to relax after great dives and the beach is just a stone throw away. Also the dive center and its extremely helpful staff deserves 5 stars!

Gorgeous setting and fabulous staff! They helped arrange all of our tours, which were phenomenal. Abi was so attentive to our requests and made us feel like we were staying with friends not just guests. I hope to return!

We had an amazing stay at Juani beach bungalows. Truly cosy, comfortable, very clean, surrounded by greenery, with direct access to the sea and a super nice walk to the centre of Kilindoni. Food was delicious, staff lovely and Musa himself was an excellent caring and informative host. Most recommended!

Objekat Mafia Island Bungalows u ponudi ima smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim WiFi internetom, zajedničkom kuhinjom i poslugom u sobi, a smešten je u gradu Utende, na 6,1 km od znamenitosti Rufiji Mafia... The staff was amazing, very hospitable and took care of everything. Breakfast and dinner was great, they have a really great chef and attentive personnel. They also rented us bikes for free, such that we could drive to the dive shop (~10 minutes by bike). Great and inexpensive stay!

Smeštajni objekat Kileleni ima bazen na otvorenom, vrt, terasu i bar u Kilindoniju. Klimatizovane jedinice imaju pogled na vrt, a pojedine takođe nude sto i besplatan WiFi. The staff are great, making sure we had the best time there. They helped organise trips out around the island putting us at ease. The rooms are spacious with WiFi and air con. The food was good too.

Objekat Kitu Kiblu u ponudi ima smeštaj, restoran, vrt, terasu i bar i nalazi se na 6,8 km od znamenitosti Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve. When looking for a genuine, immersive and take it is experience Kitu Kiblu is a great choice to take. We spent a wonderful week there and are enthusiastic of all facilities and people; everything is exactly as described in the profile. Accomodations could be choosene to be more discreet (on the trees) or more common and we strongly suggest the second option; apart from an incredible quality/price ratio the whole experience deserves to be done! We appreciated so much to have shower in the jungle surronded by palm leafs and accept a rope is the door for the toilet (yes, it's true and frankly speaking all is priceless!!!!). All the description look a bit as only for brave and indeed this "return to the basic" is exaclty what I think it should be experienced to understand we don't need that much to feel happy, just go back to the essential and appreciate!!! People have been very friendly and inclusive and did their best to let us feel welcomed and help for local activities.

Objekat Mgeni Homestay, koji je smešten u Kilindoniju, u regiji Mafia Island, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa besplatnim privatnim parkingom. Ally was extremely helpful from the moment we booked accommodation online. He was not only very responsive via WhatsApp but also gave us the right contact to organise a ferry ride to Mafia Island. We arrived at the homestay after 11pm but Ally and the housekeeper, Bunda, were there to welcome us nonetheless. The homestay is very simple but it was clean and comfortable with water and electricity at all times. Despite the heat in November, the powerful fan kept our room cool and kept mosquitoes away at night and we always had a good night’s sleep. Bunda made us a great breakfast every morning that kept us full most of the day, and he always cooked early for us so that we could eat before going out to explore the island. Ally helped us organise many activities very easily, such as snorkelling in Chole Bay and hiring a motorbike (boda boda) for the day to drive to the north of the island. The location of the homestay was perfect to have a more local experience as it is a short walk to the local town and market where we ate an affordable dinner every evening, but also walking distance from the beach (outside the marine park). Ally and Bunda’s kindness and hospitality were the highlight of our stay and we are very grateful to have felt so welcome there. Overall, we would highly recommend Mgeni Homestay to anyone looking to explore Mafia Island on a backpacker’s budget and we would go back in a heartbeat.
