I am familiar with the Westfield area. This is a good base if you were looking to see various sites in western Massachusetts. Springfield in sites like the basketball Hall of Fame are close. The Berkshires or short 30 mile drive Up the turnpike. Northampton is an in college town with great restaurants, a bike rail trail and various arts and entertainment only a 20 minute drive. Stanley Park has beautiful gardens and areas for a picnic as well as room to play frisbee etc.. Also, look up Grandmother's Garden if you like plants and gardening.
Happening little downtown area. Broad range of activities available for folks of all ages. Pretty exciting nite-life (for Puritan Massachusetts). Walkable "Main St." area provides a broad range of shopping and dining options.
One of the best walking cities in the US. So much history, so much to see, so many places to go. Driving in the city is tough and there is a lot of construction going on, which adds to the driving challenge. But walk or take public transportation to solve that problem. GPS important for getting in and out of city and finding your destinations. Massachusetts State House was amazing and Boston Common and public gardens great for scenery and people watching.
Dislike Massachusetts drivers. Driving in Boston is a nightmare. However, walking in Boston is a delight & the only way to see the city. Fenway Park is a must. JFK Library, Boston Common, &Faneuil Hall are worthy of your time along with the famous Freedom Trail.
Marlborough Massachusetts is a great place to stay/enjoy/relax, while vacationing with the family, traveling for business close to Boston/Worcester & Rhode Island.. Concerts, Sporting events, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins & concert venues.. networking for business, finding new territories with new business growth, this area is a hidden gem of bustling Massachusetts business growth, great cafes, restaurants, hotels, shopping, entertainment, night life etc. The selection of hotels is impressive. Every brand is represented, from 4 star business accommodations, to family friendly hotels & affordable travel, Marlborough is a wonderful, safe and always enjoyable area to stay. High growth area with very good hospitals, medical centers & specialists close by.. UMASS MEDICAL is a mere 7/8 miles away.
The staff, location, and the atmosphere was great! My favorite place in Massachusetts, right next to the beach with many towns nearby to visit and a fantastic kitchen and view.
Boston is a very cultural and historical point! All the Massachusetts state have this progressive atmosphere where you can have information about not only American, but also World History. The Charles River Esplanade, Boston Common and Boston Public Garden are good outdoors places where you can go jogging, biking, or just relaxing and sightseeing. Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are the avant-garde in Education, and feels so good to taste that atmosphere. There are also the MIT Museum surrounding the University, and the Harvard Squard around Harvard. The MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) is a very good experience, and I totally recommend it. Around Boston, there are many towns where you can see different things. Easy to walk, easy to get public transportation. You can get a train from the airport to any point around!
A beautiful little town in a beautiful part of Massachusetts. My sole purpose for going there was to enjoy the fall foliage, and visit the Clark Museum, and I wasn't disappointed.
West Yarmouth is a great location, centrally located along Route 28, everything is close by including restaurants, shopping, entertainment and beaches. I highly recommended eating breakfast at either Ann & Fran's or the Keltic Kitchen. Dinner at DiParma is superb Italian in a fantastic atmosphere for a reasonable price. (Their house salad dressing is awesome) If its seafood you desire, head to Dennis to the Kream and Kone. Their portions are massive and superb. Prices are reasonable too. Great family restaurant with an outdoor patio eating area also. Downtown Hyannis has some great night spots. My favorite is Torino's with live music all summer long, Thursday thru Sunday. Just a short drive away is the quaint town of Chatham, one of my favs. Eclectic shoppes along Main St. provide a vast selection of gifts to choose from. The shoreline is just ahead where you can park for free near the Lighthouse and just sit and enjoy the vast view where ocean meets the sandbar. At low tide it's fun to watch people drive onto it and then wonder how long they have before the get stranded there at high tide! Lol. And don't miss out on driving further to the Outer Cape. Take Route 6 East all the way to Provincetown and you'll see the Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet which is the largest stretch of preserved beach in all of the Cape, and probably of the state. You'll keep driving out to the point of Massachusetts where the ocean is on either side of you and you can take a Dune Tour as well! All in all, West Yarmouth is a great place to stay while you explore the Cape and all it has to offer.
I loved The Bookstore & the wine bar located inside called Get Lit. They had an amazing cab. We also enjoyed walking at Mount Greystone, which is the highest point in Massachusetts. We bought neat things at the cute shops, as well.

The first time we ever visited Massachusetts, we stayed here! Came back again because we also really liked the hotel, and the location suited us. Last time we stayed here we had a Queen bed. This time we had a room with a King bed. Never again. My partner and I had a terrible sleep! Front desk male clerk was super nice! I remember him from our stay last year! If we stay here in the future we will not get a room with a King bed! Also, more of a variety for breakfast! Maybe eggs or sausages or some kind of meats!
Love how close the hotel is to Boston but it’s cleaner cheaper, and nicer than hotels we stayed at in the city. We’ve stayed at this particular hotel three of four times now when we come to Massachusetts because it’s always a good play to stay. It’s usually pretty clean and pleasant and the location is great. We like the outdoor area surrounding the hotel, with grass, trees, etc. the rooms are always pretty nice with comfortable beds and a good amount of space. Everybody who works there is nice and helpful.
My best friend, since grade school, and I decided to splurge and your hotel! The area fit perfect, she is in Maine, I am in Vermont and our children and grandchildren live in Massachusetts, so Burlington was a great fit. Your hotel is beautiful and all of your staff were not only professional in going out of their way to accommodate so many of us and our needs, they did it so genuinely happily also!. We really can't wait to be able to splurge like that again. We made some priceless memories!
Everything about this hotel was amazing. situated in the beautiful town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Fairfield inn is conveniently close to restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the beach. my stay was excellent. the staffs were friendly and welcoming which made me feel at home. The rooms were clean, big, spacious and Inviting. The walls are sound proof. The Appliances at Fairfield are updated. I would definitely recommend the hotel if you want to relax, and enjoy your stays.
Very nice, clean, no frills hotel conveniently located right across from the metro station at Porter Square. Super friendly staff. Nice view over Massachusetts Ave, and no noise at all coming from the window. Water and coffee in the room, and all the small comforts I want when I travel. I will choose this hotel again and I recommend it.
Didn't have breakfast my mom and me ended up buying breakfast at a local shell station in the area. We picked this hotel because we were going to a hockey game in springfield massachusetts and we weren't going to make it home in time so we picked this hotel. The place was great room was awesome as well.
The hotel is elegant beyond its price. It is very conveniently located to I-84, the Massachusetts Turnpike, and U.S. 20. In spite of its proximity to three busy highways, our stay was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, and there is both an indoor and outdoor pool that were both well-maintained.
the location in Cambridge did work for us, with the metro it's only a few stops from Boston South station. some good food spots around the corner as well. at Massachusetts Ave are a lot of bars and quite a nightlife.
We arrived early and there were no issues. Third time staying at this hotel and will continue to stay while in Massachusetts
I loved everything about the hotel from the hot tub to the pool to the service I had it was absolutely incredible.
Breakfast excellent. Expensive but excellent dinner at The Beach House. Friendly staff with good facilities. Very enjoyable stay.
very clean, well maintained food & staff great
Very welcoming office staff. They could not have been more accommodating…going above and beyond. Pools were really nice and clean. Room was wonderful. Everything spotless. Fantastic modern bathroom. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Breakfast had numerous options.Coffee and tea available 24/7! Nice to visibly see cleaners and maintenance workers taking care of the hotel even the windows above the indoor pool. My wife and I liked everything about our stay there. We felt safe and would certainly stay there again if we get up that way. This hotel is a best kept secret!
