Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. Wow! We drove the" wrong" way over the rooiberg pass and arrived the back way, so this felt even more like a dramatic arrival into paradise! Riaan made us feel so welcome- lit fires, advised walking tracks and checked us in. The dinner was one of the best we had on South Africa. Great wine, roaring fire, good coffee and breakfast.... I would happily hole up in room 8 for at least a week. Thank you all for a fabulous stay.

And just sitting on the stoep and ‘being’ in the space and tranquillity of the Karoo.

With mountain views, Bosch Luys Kloof Nature Reserve is located 56 km from Ladismith and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. The manager Bruce is fantastic, hè gave us A lot of information about the flora and fauna and is A very kind person. the breakfast, lunch and dinners are delicious. All the personell is very very friendly. We loved our stay .

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the Rooiberg Mountain range, Watermill Farm Cottages is located 3 km from the village of Van Wyksdorp in the Western Cape Region. The scenery was stunning. The walks around the farm were good. There is also a easy walk into VanWyks Dorp The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional. I loved my stay . Rustic and charming.

We were on a 22 days road trip over the Dec 2023 Jan 2024. We spent our Christmas at Sipreslaan. This place was amazing. The cottage was extremely well maintained. The vineyard and the mountains are breathtaking. I watched TV and Towerkop Mountain at the same time.

Set in the countryside, Koedoeskloof Guesthouse is located 9 km away from Ladismith. This guest house boasts views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains. Eugene and Debbie are very kind hosts. The burgers are awesome and the location is very peaceful and nice. They helped us with several things (medicine, etc.). Very helpful people :-) Many thanks again

Peaceful surroundings with uninterrupted views of the Karoo. Generous helpful host who assisted us at all times. Beds super comfy, and appreciated the complimentary firewood every day.

Located in Ladismith, in a valley amongst wine lands, Mymering Wine & Guest Estate has luxurious rooms some with a fireplace. The property features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. the location is amazing. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The rooms are incredible and perfectly well equipped. we also recommend the Chenin Blanc !
