Okiep Country Hotel is like an oasis in a desert. One wouldn't expect a hotel of such high standards in a small mining town like Okiep. The rooms were clean, warm and properly furnished for overnight guests who are just passing through, or for those wanting to stay a few nights in order to explore the region with its beautiful flowers. Business travelers are also well advised to use their facilities, which are quite good. The food was exceptional, well prepared and tasty. A bonus was that the chef knew exactly what to do when we informed him that my wife is gluten and lactose intolerant (coeliac disease). She could eat everything that was prepared for her and did not have any problems at all. I would really recommend a stay, also because of the historical setting of the hotel and the information it provides on the history of the town. Well done!

Upon arrival I received a fresh bowl of fruits which was really unexpected! I was welcome to walk around the farm and the landscape is just amazing! I enjoyed having a digital detox, with my mobile provider I didn't had reception however I welcomed this fact. For anyone enjoying time for themselves, I can highly recommend this place

O Frontier River Resort está localizado na África do Sul, a 6 km do Controlo Fronteiriço Vioolsdrift da Namíbia. Kotzeshoop fica a 5 km. O resort fica nas margens do Rio Orange. The grounds and luxury tents were in a nice setting with a lot of seasonal planting upgrades, like their own orange grove, that I would love to return to see in the future. Because the facility is on a hillside, owners were concerned with my walking with a crutch but I managed well. Really enjoyed falling asleep with the tent flaps open so I could look at stars, wake to first sun light and bird song. Everything from bedding to towels and toiletries made me feel like I was in a luxury spa. I really enjoyed the owners young son who was concerned about compression wraps on my legs. He sat me in a chair in front of the tent, went and got my book and kept me entertained until my husband came back from his walk. Such a big heart, full of compassion, in such a small body.

Nuwefonteinskop Lodge tem vista do jardim, acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e estacionamento privado gratuito em Kotzesrus. Breakfast and Dinner were excellent. The hosts were perfect and after a very long drive they did everything to make us comfortable. The walk up the Koppie was unexpected and a real treat. If you want noise and nightlife do not go but if you want tranquility under the stars it is just the perfect place.
