I also think the doors had double glazing as once you closed them all noise disappeared

Every single member of staff were so caring and we will miss you all. The restaurant food was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble especially with certain food allergies . I have never been anywhere so beautiful with wonderful views; hotel outstanding and the people so genuinely kind and and always there to help. Transfers to the cricket were punctual many thanks to Chris the driver always pleasant and going the extra mile. Thank you to every member of staff you are all amazing from Reception to the Restaurant to housekeeping a very big THANK YOU.

Another stay at the fabulous Border Hotel, one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. Didn't think it could get any better but there were extra touches this time with bathrobes and slippers. From the super size room with seating and a balcony to the private dining in the library I can't think of anything that could be better. Cornelius (Kerneels) will look after you from your arrival to departure, carrying bags and serving dinner and breakfast. A lovely, lovely, man. If we ever get the chance again we will make it a priority to stay once more at the Border Hotel.
