Tagoto ligt op 5 minuten rijden van het station Aizu Wakamatsu en beschikt over een warm openbaar bad, Japanse en westerse kamers en Japanse gerechten. - Very charming ryokan conveniently situated within walking distance from the JR Nanokamachi station and in close proximity to attractions like the Noguchi Hideyo Seishun Street and the Suehiro Sake Brewery. - The meals (dinner and breakfast) were the highlight of my stay. Having told the staff in advance that I had food allergies, they went above and beyond to servemeals for me that were safe for me to eat but also very delicious. The variety of dishes served was impressive. The staff also offered to create onigiri (rice balls) out of my unfinished breakfast. - The staff were very warm and accommodating and their interactions with guests contributed to the ryokan's very homely atmosphere. As a thoughtful gesture they gave me an akabeko keychain upon checkout as a souvenir - The private hinoki bath was a delight (note: you have to book it in advance during check-in) - The futon in my room was exceptionally fluffy and I slept really well

Tabist Onsen Petit Hotel Yukori Bandai Atami ligt in Koriyama, op 17 km van station Koriyama, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. The room was big and very nice. There were extra blankets in the closet. The staff were all helpful and very kind. The location is near the station if you come by train. I went by car and there was lots of parking. The water available was great. Nice after a bath.

Mt. Inn(マウントイン） ligt in Nihommatsu, op 10 km van station Nihonmatsu, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Very cool place! The staff were so lovely, the rooms are huge and comfortable- we wish we stayed longer than 1 night!

Kutsurogijyuku Chiyotaki biedt warmwaterbronnen met uitzicht op de bergen en ligt op 15 minuten met de bus van het station JR Aizuwakamatsu. The room and the hotel are very clean. Our room is very big and comfort. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Nice spa (inside and outside) but we prefer the outside.

It’s a beautiful hotel nestled into the hillside by the river. The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

Sansuiso Tsuchiyu Spa is een traditionele accommodatie in Japanse stijl, naast de rivier de Ara. De accommodatie biedt verschillende warmwaterbaden, een binnenzwembad en gratis WiFi in alle ruimtes. The pictures do not do the onsen at this ryokan justice. We arrived later than I had hoped because our car's navigation lead us in the wrong direction, but the staff never made us feel guilty and helped us to check in. Our room was Japanese style with a great view of the garden and the ravine the river flows into. My tween found the futons very comfy. They worked with our dietary restrictions to make a wonderful multi-course Japanese meal, though I admit, I think I still liked the tempura course best. My tween slept through breakfast, but I really liked the fruit smoothie, which was lighter than I expected. The onsen are amazing here. There is the very traditional looking bathes overlooking a waterfall as well as two other floors of onsen, some of which rotate between men and women. Most of the onsen are also quite deep. My only regrets are we arrived late and couldn't explore the town and that I didn't buy the special chopsticks for sale here.
