The welcome was excellent and warm. The cleanliness of the room was very good. The furniture is a little old, but it didn't affect me. The gentleman helped us a lot to park our car. He was helpful in everything. It is definitely our recommendation. There is a restaurant underneath, we couldn't go there because we didn't have time. Everything was great, thank you very much.

The hostel is in the middle of the old town in an old villa with a large central courtyard with lots of plants and open air. The room was big, had air conditioning, a fridge and microwave, and a private bath.
The restaurant is 100 meters away on the plaza which is also where we checked-in. Ristorante Italiano Tuscana has an extensive menu of antipasti, pastas, meat dishes, desserts, and a full bar. They have an indoor, air-conditioned dining room and tables outdoors on the plaza. The food was very good, the portions appropriate, and the prices fair. We ate there twice and enjoyed our meals along with their resident dog, Rocco, who was very sweet, lingering near outdoor diners, but not begging or being a nuisance at all.
Our dinners, a starter, main and wine/water ran around €50, not bad for good meal for two.
The first night we has l'insalata caprese €8 and tortelli 4 formaggi ai burro e salvia €15 for my wife and the lasagna bolognese €10 for me along with a bottle of water with gas and a liter of sangria €12. My lasagna was delicious and HUGE, but my wife's tortelli had not been properly drained, watering down the rich butter and sage sauce, but my wife still enjoyed it.
On the subsequent evening, we forewent the starter, my wife ordering the tagliatelli con funghi €10, me the spaghetti carbonara, and sharing the cotoletta alla milanese €12, a bottle of water and two glasses of house red wine. All were very tasty, especially the carbonara which was prepared in the traditional way by adding egg yokes just before serving with plenty o' pepper ... HOOAH!
At €65 for our room, much lower in the off-season, Hostal Sixto and Ristorante Toscana were a definite Travelvalue and worth a return visit the next time we go to Naval Air Station Rota.

The location of this apartment is fantastic. Every morning we woke up to the sound of the waves and refreshing views of the ocean. It is an older and smaller apartment, up 4+ flights of stairs, but really was plenty of space and had what we needed for a family with kids. The proximity to the beach and town (with views) make up for everything!
Offering inner courtyard views, Céntrico Rota Beach. Is an accommodation located in Rota, less than 1 km from La Costilla Beach and a 19-minute walk from Piedras Gordas-La Almadraba.
I think Rota is a cute town. There's enough to do for a getaway either as a single, or even with a partner or family. I have been to Rota three times within a single month and I would definitely go back. One of my favorite places to enjoy brunch was a restaurtant named Oklahomas. The food is so delicous. It is quite easy to get around Rota!

Despite superb sandy beaches and a nice old city centre Rota...
Despite superb sandy beaches and a nice old city centre Rota is not over-exploited as a tourist destination. It is a rather quiet town, ideal for a restful vacation, and small enough to be able to reach most places by foot. There is a catamaran service to Cadiz several times per day, weather permitting.

Loved the laid back atmosphere of Rota and the sunny warm weather. We walked everywhere and did not rent a car because of parking issues.
Next trip I will rent an apt on the beach instead of a 10-15 min walk.

Difficult to find this apartment on all of the one way...
Difficult to find this apartment on all of the one way streets. Parking was extremely difficult as we could not get close to the apartment The hosts were very late to meet us to give us the keys. The apartment is very dated compared to the photographs and was not comfortable. Very noisy at nights with kids hanging out in the laneway late. A noisy one way (rat run) road at front of apartment with strictly no parking, not even close by. One bathroom only and it's a small one person bathroom. Small kitchen, quite dated. The beds were not comfortable. We left after three nights into our seven night stay and the host very casual about that.

Nice town for a beach holiday.
Nice town for a beach holiday. The town itself has a lot to offer in terms of food, drink, atmosphere, beaches... but there are also very interesting places around worth visiting: Doñana if you like birdwatching, Cadiz capital (take the catamaran from Rota to get there, don’t drive!), Puerto de Santamaria (nice castle), wineries....
My first time to Rota for business reasons, no info or suggestions. My travel agency gave me a couple of hotels which I didn't like. I found the place in Booking: I was curious if such a high evaluation was really deserved. Also I liked the apartment from the photos. So I took the place.
And yes! The high evaluations are truly deserved: nice place, nice position, the owner, Ramon, truly kind and friendly, fresh fruit at arrival. I am pleased to confirm what was already written from other guests.
Booked for 2 nights, stayed 5!
The location - straight onto the beach
The Hostal - a small, family run hotel with lovely rooms, ensuite, aircon, fridge, hairdryer, wardrobe, desk, wifi and very comfy beds
The people - Vincente and his team are just really genuine, friendly people who go out of their way to serve
The restaurant - Signor Jose is a great cook. Breakfast is Spanish style; a simple meal of toast with olive oil, tomato, 'jamon', pate, butter and marmalade. Coffee is great too!
Superb location in Rota. Facility clean and spacious with terrace. Lots of safe free parking outside on street. WiFi very good. Facility has nice grounds and large swimming pool. Kitchen well equipped with large fridge. No soap for bathroom so don't forget it. Host very nice and met us at door. Walking distance to beach, town and shops easy drive. A very good value for area. Rota is a beautiful, safe city friendly city.
The property was very close to the beach and the center. Perfect location!! Cleanest rental I think I’ve ever stayed in. Moises was very welcoming and helpful. He made it very clear he was available at any time to help. Superb customer service!! So thankful there was parking available as well. My family had a wonderful stay in Rota!!
This apartment was in a prime location. A few steps from the castle (you can see the castle from the apartment!) And a few steps from a gorgeous beach with cafes all along. It is in a great section of Rota. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed. The hosts are wonderful people... So helpful and sweet!
Great location, staff, and the room was a nice size with comfortable bed and accommodations. The room price was great. A nice restaurant/bar located on the property. It is in a nice location and easy to walk to Rota City Center. Also, a nice grocery store located across the street.
Great location for shops, bars, restaurants & the beach. Quirky hotel. Our room had an American theme. Room was very clean & well maintained. Would have liked an outside view from the room. It was fine for a couple of nights but wouldn’t want to stay any longer in the room.
The location is great in Rota, the host is fabulous. Very service oriented, hospitable and a nice person. And the apartment is very wel provided. Free parking is nearby at the port of Rota. Had a great stay.
Pricing is very reasonable than other hotels in Rota.
Staff does a very great job keeping the hotel clean and also checks daily to see if you need your room re made up.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean, with a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. If I ever find myself in Rota again, I'll definitely be staying here.
