Really clean and tidy and very accommodating owners as I was later than originally planned. The room and facilities are really nice and everything was clean and comfy. The breakfast was great, especially the black pudding and scrambled eggs. Would definitely stop again when in the area.

Who knew the luxury that awaits up a wee close in Hawick, excellent amenities, sumptuous bedding and towels, very clean and comfortable, the hosts were very understanding when I had to cancel the first night due to a migraine, they ventilated the apartment before I arrived and gave us a later check out the following day
Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building.

Excellent location right on the high street. Parking available in front of the building or there is a private car park behind too. We didn't struggle to park either day right outside the door.
Donna who runs the show is amazing, really chatty and friendly and even answered our random questions by text in the evenings.
Breakfast was good too - all cooked to order you can either decide in the morning what you want or you can text her the night before so it's ready for you. There were also cereals and homemade muffins.
The room itself was nice, bed was comfy (although the pillow was really hard and no option of a softer one that we could find).
We'd stay again when next in the area. Thanks Donna :)

A wonderful town with so much history and things and places to see. Hawick is very hilly but okay to get around if you take your time as I did.
We ate in the Locanda Romana restaurant, it was wonderful. The host/owner was very friendly and food very tasty.

This apartment is all luxury.
This apartment is all luxury. It was such a pleasure to stay in. Very comfortable beds, ours even with a pop up TV in it. All the appliances were new and amazing. There was a basket of treats for us to use as well. I wished we’d booked to stay for longer than just one night.

It is a rather gritty town.
It is a rather gritty town. Has been quite industrial but has some lovely buildings and the river area is being upgraded with defence walls against flooding. There are a few nice restaurants in the town especially an Italian by the river Santa Marina. There is a fantastic park to explore which has a cafe and childrens play area and great for dogs with a stream to play in. The town has Cashmere outlet shops and a whisky distillery. It is noted for rugby. It is close to beautiful countryside and places such as Melrose, Selkirk and Peebles are not far away, plus the coast about an hour away where thete are stunning beaches

Great location for visiting the Borders Area, and whichever route you took out of the town you were quickly into countryside. Only slight drawback many restaurants only open Thursday - Sunday. Had to travel out of Hawick on Monday to get an evening meal and on Tuesday and Wednesday fairly limited choice, unfortunately sign of the times perhaps.
Other that town had good facilities and a nice park with a good coffee house and eatery in the daytime.

Hawick is a border town built on ex council housing, the surrounding areas and history but if you want to go anywhere then travel north. Drugs truency and mason art are Hawick. Do not go in the winter other to see family which I did. Run down and bleak in the winter but if you want riding and recreation in the summer, it’s for you. Be warned you can get cut off in the winter.

Always love spending time in Hawick.
Always love spending time in Hawick. Such a friendly town with some interesting shops and a great selection of knitwear. The park is second to none! Beautifully kept and so many different areas of interest. Great for exercising or a leisurely stroll. Super cafe for a pit stop along the way.
Alan the owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Anything you needed he would get it for you. Our room was comfortable with tv and tea and coffee making facilities- extra tea bags were always available. There was a great choice of cooked or continental breakfast. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Hawick where there are restaurants or take-aways. You could also easily drive around the area even to Edinburgh or Glasgow. It's an ideal place to stay over for a few nights while exploring the area.
The Girls that run that place couldn’t have been more helpful!
very attentive and always willing to help any way they could!
Breakfast was amazing and tasted so fresh!
Our room- I’ve never slept so well in such a long time!!!
we got a bit lost of the way to the hotel (🙈) but the girls couldn’t of been any more spot on with there directions to the carpark, got us right where we needed to be. especially after a long Journey!
I could go on and on about our stay, needless to say WE WILL BE BACK
The flat is literally in the centre of Hawick with everything the town has to offer within walking distance. It is spacious, spotless and has all of the utensils/white goods you could need except for a freezer drawer in the fridge. Hawick is well serviced with supermarkets, there are plenty of local landmarks and walking routes and the Heart of Hawick apartment is a great base from which to explore the historic Scottish borders. Unfortunately there wasn't a rugby match on when we were there.
Beautifully decorated apartment with access to full facilities. Washing machine and dishwasher were a life saver! Bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. The apartment is located 30 seconds away from the town centre and parking is available. Ella and Leo were fantastic hosts, really friendly and happy to check in with a message day to day to make sure the stay was going well. We will definitely be staying here again on our trips to the Borders.
On the whole really enjoyed my stay here. A highlight was the staff, who made me feel very welcome, both in the hotel and in Hawick. Room and common areas were cosy and clean, and everything was kept at a high standard. The hotel is reasonably simple, but everything they provided was of a very high quality, from location, to breakfast, to room comfort. I would be happy to return next time I get a chance to return to Hawick!
This property was indeed very spacious and stylish! The owner, Matt was easy to communicate with and provided great beds, bedding, and “extras” such as coffee, tea, milk, and a Welcoming Basket. My husband is originally from Hawick so being centrally located behind the High St. was perfect for accessing restaurants, etc. Highly recommend! Thank you!
It was a good value clean room in a very convenient spot in Hawick. The owner was very friendly and helpful and provided a very varied breakfast the next morning. We were walking the Borders Abbeys Way and there was no problem us arriving with rucksacks, boots etc. The bathroom was very fresh and had a very big bath with shower.
Communication, friendly owners. Great garden, dog loved it. Very clean, COVID-19 cleaning top notch. Comfy beds and bed linen. Walks on the doorstep. Hawick a short drive away and enough shops to keep my older teen happy. Great park which we took advantage of with picnic when weather allowed.
This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.
Breakfast was fresh and well presented with the location a 15 walk from the town centre. Hotel is up a steep hill and is an old building so no lifts to the rooms. Staff were nice and mainly wore masks. Large free carpark on-site.
The Loan was so cosy, clean & comfortable. Within easy walking distance to Hawick town centre. Gary & Lesley were great hosts with good contact. Also
loved the little extras, milk, wine etc, thank you
Lovely location, hotel set in its own grounds but not too far from town centre. Room spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast has plenty choices. Would definitely consider again if in area.
Lovely B&B in a remote location of the Scottish Borders where I was warmly welcomed by Carol. The bedroom was great with a comfy bed. Delicious breakfast in the morning!
Very thoughtful hosts. Large, clean, well equipped caravan. Nice site. Dog friendly. Good location for touring Scottish and English borders. Enjoyed our stay.
