Very nice place to stay. Liked the afternoon tea. Very friendly staff. Beautiful gardens with lots of space for walks - this was an unexpected bonus. We walked from the property into the village which was very pretty.

Good location close to Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery. The new garden rooms looked realy nice but were fully booked for the dates we were there. The building is old which does add to its charm so unfortunately you have to expect a few squeaky floor boards. Room facilities good and clean, good for an overnight stay but not for longer stay.
Located in the tranquil village of Oakley, a 15-minute drive from Basingstoke, this Innkeeper's Collection has well-equipped bedrooms, a bar and a restaurant.

We stayed here to goto Bombay sapphire, so its well placed (4 miles ish away) has parking and the rooms were very large and with a great bed. Showeroom only but a good size with a good shower.
Being attached to a Stonehouse pub meant good value lunch and breakfast on the day of our departure.

The room itself was spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. All the basics provided along with fresh milk for tea in the room as there was no fridge. The property accommodated gluten free food options too and staff were pleasant. Generally it was really clean. The bathroom could have done with a bit of attention re mould though.

This experience at this property is making Booking.com look really bad to me and others around me and probably all of you if you can see the pictures I took of this place! I’ll start, We saw the pictures online and thought to ourselves this looks good, let’s book it 3 weeks in advance like normal and as we got to the apartment smelled MOLDY and like dirty socks yuck! My mother and aunt were going to stay there and the aunt is in stage 4 cancer and as the walked in the noticed the couch was dirty with stains and buggers on it the kitchen was filthy and old, the table and chairs to dine were falling apart and the fake leather was falling off the chairs, back to the couch the seat covers were not even on them, they were wrapped around with old blankets to substitute the dirty and filthy couch and once they went around to the rooms that’s where we found were the STANK and HORRIBLE smell was coming from, both the bathrooms in this property were moldy, all the floors and walls were full of mold and and was literally falling apart from how bad the mold was eating the restrooms. This is the worst living conditions I have ever experienced and I have never had a problem with any of my stays around the world. They were there for 10 minutes took pictures and left immediately and returned the keys to its place!
Please do not book from these people! I am having the worst experience with them, our booking is from the 17th of October 2023 - 8th of November 2023 which was 22 days and paid them $2,000 US dollars and were in this property for only 10 minutes as this was an unhealthy and dangerous place to stay! Up to this moment I am fighting to get back my money that rightfully belongs to me and out another $3,000 US since I had to find a proper place for them to stay in the area on a last minute situation. Please be careful who you book with, this has been a headache for me and my family. Some people are always out to get you and care about no one.

Ateugglws to get a table in the restaurant.
Ateugglws to get a table in the restaurant. The food was good but we had to sit near an open door, which was draughty. The bathroom was a bit tired but adequate. The bed was rock hard. I was told the mattress was brand new. Not convinced. Still it was cheap, so you can't expect luxury. We didn't get a good night's sleep due to other patrons deciding to have a conversation outside our room at midnight, and then leaving in the early hours noisily. But rhat is not the hotel's fault.

Very relaxed atmosphere.
Very relaxed atmosphere. It was more akin to staying in a friends house rather than a hotel. Very friendly owners. Good pub for evening meal [Sun Inn] within walking distance albeit alongside the main A30. Hotel on main A30. not actually in village. Will certainly stay there again.

Pefect real ale, the food I haf was poor, medium rare rump steak very tender but dry.
Cooked breakfast - egg was "hard fried" and the grilled tomato never saw the grill and was also hard.
To cap it all there was no hot water at 7.30 am, so I had to forego my morning shower. No one at reception, so told the breafast waitress, who passed my complaint on to "someone".
No apology or explanation, was forthcoming.
The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant offers a wide choice and the food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. We were late for breakfast on our final morning, forgetting it ends at 9am during the week, but the restaurant manager was still able to provide a tasty continental selection.
Very pleasant staff, room was clean and comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was very nice, breakfast was lovely too. We were due to come in May but my son broke his elbow two days before coming, the hotel was very kind and re-booked our trip for a later date at no additional cost.
The hotel is dated, no doubt, but still not bad for the price and what's most important - the rooms are very clean.
And the breakfasts are to absolutely die for! For that reason alone I will definitely come again when on the way.
All the staff in both the hotel and the restaurant were friendly and professional, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and so reasonably priced.
Perfect stopover location. Great for the price and the food (dinner and breakfast) in the pub was better than a typical motorway hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. I’d stop here again.
3rd time I stayed in this hotel. Do you really need more of a recommendation?
Very well priced for what you get. Really helpful staff. Very clean room. Cooked breakfast to die for.
The hotel was a very convenient overnight stop for trip to the south-west. The bar/restaurant was great for relaxing after a long drive. Staff were friendly & breakfast was good.
