The proprietor and his wife were very friendly and helpful about places to eat for dinner (although they don't speak much English we speak a bit of French) - we ate at a popular pizza place down the road cos they had vegetarian options - and the breakfast in the hotel was excellent. The location, in the Sologne, not far from the Loire, is good for central France if you want to stay rural and there are pleasant local walks through woodlands and by lakes.
Located in Dhuizon and with Château de Chambord reachable within 14 km, Auberge Du Grand Dauphin provides a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

A nice house in a small village of Thoury located near Chambord and within max 1h drive for a wide range of castles in Val de la Loire. The house has all amenities mentioned and has enough space for a family of 4. We fully enjoyed our stay there. Thank you!
