We were to stay here for Christmas Eve and the hosts (Pam and Peter) made sure to advise us well in time to prepare for our stay in Franz Josef as being holiday most shops around would be closed. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms (executive suite) in the back of the complex (the room had a name as opposed to the units with numbers) and it was luxurious! The view of the rainforest right off our porch, high vaulted ceilings in the room, heated mattress topper, fireplace which heated the whole room very fast, and massive bathroom with tub. I could go on about this stay as it was one of my favourites on our road trip. I do wish we stayed longer here has the accommodation was so comfortable. Very clean and quiet.

The cottage was very clean and extremely comfortable. The location was excellent as you can easily walk to restaurants, shops and the Callery Gorge, Tatare Tunnel and Terrace walks. Parking is outside your cottage and the staff were lovely and very helpful.
